Nurture Club

Nurture Club

At Rockingham Junior and Infant School, we understand that children learn best when they feel safe, supported and valued.

Nurture Club provides a calm and welcoming space where pupils can develop confidence, build positive relationships and strengthen their social and emotional skills.

A safe and supportive space

Nurture Club gives children time to talk, share, listen and be heard. Through gentle activities and supportive routines, pupils are encouraged to express themselves, manage their feelings and develop a sense of belonging.

Building confidence

Children are supported to recognise their strengths and celebrate their achievements. Activities are designed to help pupils grow in confidence, develop independence and feel proud of the progress they make.

Friendships and social skills

Nurture Club helps children practice important skills such as turn-taking, teamwork, listening and problem-solving. Pupils are encouraged to build positive friendships, understand others’ feelings and develop respectful relationships.

Supporting wellbeing

The club supports children’s emotional wellbeing by helping them feel calm, settled and ready to learn.

At Rockingham, we want every child to know that they matter. Nurture Club is one of the ways we help pupils feel happy, confident and supported in school.
