Pupil Voice

At Rockingham Junior and Infant School, we believe that every child should feel listened to and valued.

Pupil voice gives children the opportunity to share their ideas, opinions and experiences. It helps pupils understand that their views matter and that they can play an active role in school life.

Children are encouraged to speak confidently, listen respectfully and contribute to discussions about learning, wellbeing and the wider school community.

Through pupil voice activities, children develop confidence, communication skills and a sense of responsibility. They learn how to express their thoughts, consider the views of others and help make positive changes in school.

Pupil voice is an important part of personal development at Rockingham. It supports children to become confident, independent individuals who understand their rights, responsibilities and the role they can play in the world around them.
